Asbestos Disposal Services in Birmingham

Licensed waste carrier & waste documentation provided.

WHY CHOOSE US?

Licensed collection, wherever the material currently is – whether it’s already bagged and sealed or still needs proper containment before it can be moved.

Safe transport by licensed carrier – asbestos waste has specific handling and transport requirements under UK law, which we follow to the letter.

A Waste Transfer Note as proof – documented evidence that the material was disposed of correctly, which you may need for insurance, compliance, or simply peace of mind.

WHY THIS MATTERS

Asbestos is classified as hazardous waste under UK regulations, which means it has to be handled, transported, and disposed of through a specific licensed route, not through general waste streams. This isn’t red tape for its own sake: improperly disposed asbestos waste can release fibres during transport or at landfill sites not designed to contain it, putting other people at risk further down the chain. It also carries real consequences for whoever’s responsible for it. Illegal disposal, even unintentional, can result in significant fines and legal liability for the person or business that arranged it. A Waste Transfer Note exists precisely so you have proof, if it’s ever needed, that the material went where it was supposed to.

FAQs

Can I take asbestos waste to my local council tip myself?

Some council-run household waste sites accept small quantities of asbestos from residents, often with restrictions on quantity and packaging, and sometimes by appointment only. It’s worth checking directly with your local site, but for anything beyond a very small amount, or for commercial waste, a licensed collection is the appropriate route.

Any asbestos-containing material removed from a property — sheets, board, lagging, tiles, guttering — once separated from the building, is classified as asbestos waste and needs to go through licensed disposal rather than general waste or a standard skip.

Yes, we offer standalone collection and disposal even where we didn’t carry out the original removal, provided the material has been safely bagged or contained. We’ll check it’s properly sealed before collection.

It’s a legal document confirming what waste was collected, by whom, and where it was taken for disposal. It’s your proof of correct handling, which can matter for insurance, compliance, or if a property’s asbestos history is ever questioned later.

This depends on your location and how the material is currently contained, but we aim to arrange collection promptly, particularly where waste is sitting on a residential property or blocking a project’s progress.

It can result in significant fines and legal liability for whoever arranged the disposal, as well as genuine risk to anyone who comes into contact with it afterwards, including waste handlers and landfill staff. Proper licensed disposal avoids all of this.
